Arundel is just off the A27 between Chichester and Brighton. The Swan Hotel can be found in the town centre at the bottom of the High Street, just by the River Arun. There is a pay and display car park at the rear of the hotel which is free from 1800hrs and 0800hours, you can put money in the meter afetr 1800hrs which will count on for the next day after 0800hrs (so you don't have to get up at 0800hrs.)
Arundel is well placed for exploring the lovely countryside, Downland villages and coastal areas of West Sussex. It forms an excellent centre for touring Brighton, Worthing, Petworth and the Cathedral town of Chichester, which are all close by.
You will find many other places of interest in and around Arundel, including the Cathederal, Arundel Park, the Wild Fowl Trust and of course the River Arun, which winds its way through the heart of the town where boat trips can be taken. Arundel also has a host of shops to suit all tastes, from antiques to ladies' fashion.
